SKYROOF NOVA
hello everyone, i am a recent subscriber of hotrod mag.
very nice magizine
well im 16 and really into hotrods
im a part of the dieing group of gear heads in my generation
my dad has a 73 nova custom...skyroof
yea, a skyroof, my dad has tryed to sell it, and i talked him out of it
he was trying to sell this car for 5k, until i did some research and found out that its worth about 4 times that
in 1972, the skyroof nova made its debut, they made 6,822 of these, tan being the rarest color of top at 353 made.
lets go to 1973, the skyroof became even more rare with production numbers only reaching 3,259. there is no way to tell how many of each color top was made because the rpo codes were the same for every color. but i believe tan to be the rarest color once again. also, the 3259 made could account for novas, customs, or super sports
i have not been able to find any information regarding the numbers of novas, customs, or supersport skyroofs made. but i do know the total is 3259
it is very hard to find these cars, and some of you probably have never seen one.
my dad has had this car for almost 30 years, and its been a big part of my life
it is a 1973 nova custom skyroof, tan top, brown in body color.
it has the ss gauges on the floor shifter, and is in very nice shape
i think it would be so cool if hotrod made an article for it
i was wanting to drive it as my car for years, before we had it analyzed at the insurance company and insurance would be 1200 bucks a month, so all i can do is wish lol
well without farther a due, here are the much awaited pics and a link to some information
thanks for reading, and tell me what you think
