That reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask. Is it better for the health of the magazine to subscribe or buy them off the rack? I don't mind buying them one at a time.

I would guess it's much more profitable for the company to sell them off the rack instead of subscriptions.

Duh. $5.99 each issue on the stand, or $9.99 for 12. Doesn't take a math genius there. I'm guessing they are losing money on the subbies.

I was under the impression that the number of subscriptions they have has some effect on the value of their ad space.
