Figured I would share this with fellow BSer's. My younger brother is rebuilding his first hot rod this last year and a half and I would like to share pics. The car in yellow is how we first built it in 1995 with the exception of a wheel and induction change (red steelies and wide whites with a tri power initially) he took it off the road in 2005 to do some other things but wanted a redo the way he originally envisioned it. Keep in mind he was 20 when first built and our skills espicially his was a little low.
Now he has aquired way more skills and built his own frame from 50 plus pieces of steel, installed suspension, motor etc himself with a little help from friends. Originally sbc powered it now has a Pontiac 400 with Comp roller valve train and ported iron heads with an Offy dual quad setup. 9in rear will plant power with ladder bars and finned drums up front to stop (hopefully :) Deuce grill shell, guide lights and some other period pieces.
I am very proud of him (don't tell) and am looking forward to the finish, this April, with any luck. Just showing that we can build some neat stuff up here as well, and we have a lot of down time to do it ;D Oh yeah the pics dont do the new paint justice it is a 40's Ford color and is stunning in person. Oh and he's the one in the black jacket in first pic.
