  • Anybody running Mad Dog headers?

There's a set on ebay for my 428 69 mustang - the price is great - but I have no idea about the quality, never heard of them before.

By contrast, there's also a set of JBA tri-y for my application on ebay - for more than 2x the price.
There's always something new to learn.

I've never used them, but know of people that have and they seemed pleased with them.

BBR - thanks for the info.

It appears they are shipped bare - no paint... I looked on the website and there is little information as to material used, thicknesses, etc.

      Are they stainless?

Re: Anybody running Mad Dog headers?

Website mentions that the guy at the helm of mad dog headers worked for Hedman and another place before branching out on his own in '89.

Can't find much more info than that....

I may have to be a guinea pig on this one, we'll see how high the bidding goes.

I've read good and bad things about them in respect of their big block Dart headers - see threads on bigblockdart.com and forabodiesonly.com

No actual first hand info tho

Well - let's hope they work - I got them for the opening bid.... which is $100 less than the price on the website - and they are supposedly untouched new condition. Time will tell, I'm either lucky - or the sucker that bought the junk.

John, make sure they fit and then send them out to be Jet-Hot coated. It makes a world of difference.

I am thinking about coating.... not sure if I'll go with jet hot - or a local hi temp powder coater.
