Re: The Driver lived...
That was a Beetle, at one point. Wheels indicate a possible Porsche conversion. Dayum. :oEditor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

Re: The Driver lived...
Quick story about bugs in accidents:
N/B I-25 late at night, an early 70's vintage bug breaks down on the super narrow left shoulder. The driver of the bug was carrying all sorts of implements of destruction in the back seat. The one of importance was a garden hoe, the type with the two prongs on the opposite side of the flat blade.
A good samaratin had stopped to help him and did the right thing by pulling around him and stopping, but only about 100' of so. A drunk individual came along at somewhere north of 70mph and rearended the bug, pushing it into the 4runner that was stopped ahead.....
The driver of the bug would have more than likely survived if it hadn't been for that pesky garden hoe that had been laying in the back seat as it was now stuck in back of his head.....
Whiskey for my men ... and beer for their horses!

Re: The Driver lived...
thats a early 70s porsche 911 if that orange paint is the factory color and not a repaint, plus you can see 3 cylinders of the once 6 cylinder engine behind the car plus those widened porsche wheels on the backCharles W - BS Photographer at large
