$45MM in "hush money." Some execs at NBC had a major fubar with the Jay/Conan debacle, and paid dearly.

Last night's paper said 30 million - now it's 45 Million - nice golden parachute.

If someone made $50,000.00 per year for 50 years, that's only 2.5 million gross in a LONG lifetime career of working 18 years of age up to 68 years of age.

He should take the money and disappear - permanently.
I'll miss him about as much as a broken toe.

The guy is a brilliant writer as evidenced by the work he did on the Simpsons and on SNL. I'd love to see him step away from the "late night chat show" realm and develop a sketch comedy show with Andy Richter.

Wonder what's gonna happen to the Max Weinberg 7 -- I have one of their CDs and those bastards can WAIL.

I won't miss Conan on the air. Max, I'll miss - but I'm betting he's solvent.

Great Max story - a few years back he was diagnosed with really bad arthritis and thought his drumming career was over. Working with a physical therapist he re-taught himself to play differently and now is as good as he ever was - or better. Then he did a really cool thing and wrote a book about it. I keep meaning to find a copy and read it but have yet to do so.

lt has actually been great watching Conan verbally abuse whomever started this perfect storm. I think he's funnier when he's highly pissed.

I heard there were 200 staffers on Conan. If they split $12 million thats $60,000 each. Not much, really

I like both Conan and Jay, but Conan just did not seem as funny with tonight show.

Heard it true, and found it to be absolutely ridiculous!
200 people to produce that crummy show?

Well, think about a show you like. How many people did it take to put on the Lawrence Welk show? :D
