    HMMMMMMMMMM.
Swap in a more modern EFI'ed Magnum and OD tranny. A little paint and a Dyna-matted luxo-based interior makeover and you'll have yourself one very unique Luxury SUV.

Who the hell buys a 1-ton 4x4 van with aspirations of it hauling ass?!

      :D

Gotta say, I find this Dodge and the Ford on the other post infinitely more interesting than the meh-mobiles currently featured in 4WOR(yes, I went there).

It's supposed to run, but had some minor problem that made them park it several years ago. I told him I was interested but have no idea what to offer him. Any one got any idea what it could be worth?
Just an idea, but bring your geiger counter before you sign on the dotted line. A lotta weird shit happened out there, nuke testing and all.

Seem to remember a guy, had a 440 in a D van. He said it went right in, as far as the actual mechanical part.
Can't say I looked at the engine cover though.

Bock Yates ran the first Cannonball run in a 1971 Dodge Sportsman Van with a 440. The Dodge van used in the first Cannonball run movie is the actual van that Yates drove (with co-drivers) across the country in 41 hours.

Re: Have you seen one of these lately??

I guess it depends on if you want a van or not?

4x4 vans are rare - and that one looks clean as far as rust goes.

Gear ratio would be my next question - with a small block - if you plan on towing much with it 3.5ish ratio is the lowest I'd go (I had a 351w/c6 F350 with 3.55 that did OK)

Being 4x4 and likely low mileage - I would think $1000 would be a reasonable offer assuming the thing is complete, clear title, and will turn over with a new battery (engine not locked up)
There's always something new to learn.
