  • Ford brakes...

Just read on a Dutch news site that Ford has some issues with brakes aswell.

Problems might occur in the 2010 Fusion Hybrid and the Mercury Milan Hybrid heaps.

The problems seem to occur when the car's brakes switch over from hybric operation to hydraulic operation.
Ford says the system doesn't 'fail', but some have complained that braking feels different.

With Hybrids - there's a great deal of software and calibration at play trying to maximize the regenerative electricity production during braking - and applying the good old fashioned hydraulic friction brakes..... you should see the SH!T we have to go through to test these things on a chassis dyno! >
There's always something new to learn.
