  • Any plumbers here? Question on pricing a tool for sale

I'm going through my stuff since we are looking at a house out of state. I bought one of these used at a garage sale a few years ago for a price I couldn't pass...if I used it once, it would have paid for itself. Since I haven't used it, don't plan on using it for side work, especially for liability reasons, I want to sell it. http://www.toolsforplumbers.com/Prod...D=ShopzillaTFP

It's in used condition but in very good shape, apparently it wasn't used too much. I plan on putting it on Graig's list locally (northern NJ) Any body here interested is welcome. It only has the 1, 3/4" snake, not the 5/8" and I do have several other heads for the snake as well. I was thinking of asking $500-$600 for it, TIA.

Reasonable. I can't tell you what my Bro paid for his Ridgid but it was thousands and that was about 1981 or so. Those things are PRICEY!

I don't know if the NJ economy is strong enough to support this sale but there's only one way to know. Peoples' drains still plug up and they HAVE to be fixed.

I ended up selling a slightly lower quality Version in Northern California for 200 bucks...

sounds a bit high I would say take anything over $400 for it. What has phone/response been like?

Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?
