        Thats neat! Prices sure were cheap, but so were the wages I'm sure. But the T was so obsolete by then.

          I've seen this before but it's cool nonetheless! It just goes to show you how much the Federal Reserve has debased our currency over the decades.

                    Well, we were still on a gold standard then and the Fed couldn't print money then like it has been able to since FDR confiscated all the gold in 1933 and immediately set about debasing the currency. At that time, an ounce of gold was roughly equivalent to $20, and it's now well over $1000/oz, which is more than a factor of 50. So you can safely multiply those prices by 50 to see what they'd be equivalent to in today's "dollars" (Federal Reserve Notes). So the Fed has debased our currency by (stolen) 98% in less than 80 years, by printing money (causing inflation).
