Fire Ants - I learned where not to setup a tent after basic training in Georgia. Didn't have a problem camping at the track last year.

On the "fire ants" thing. We tried to fire 'em last year, but evidently they are Union and won't leave. So I guess they are just a part of the charm of the track.

What kinds of "situations & scenarios"

have your stand-by EMS personnel

had to deal with thus far, since opening?

I can't speak to history but from my experience last year. The stand-by EMS are Fire/EMS, both stationed near the traps ready to go at the sound of a horn. They are fairly quick but this is not a 1/4 mile track. You could have an incident up to a mile away from the EMS/Fire personell. One of the members on the board had an incident last year but I will let her tell you about it.

So far the worst has been broken bones associated with Bikes going down... a few bruised ego's along with a couple of car tumbles from over zealous driving and or less then adequate maintenence.

Nothing more serious then that... it's racing so we always doing the very best we can... so on and so forth...

Nah - I just think that it avoids the inevitable - "But what makes you the expert?" - and then everyone chimes in to explain then someone apologizes etc....etc.... LOL

So far this forum has the most courteous members. Which is a welcome change from some of the boards on the internet.
