There was some coverage on the Canadian feed showing our armed forces in Afghanistan watching the game. One of them had made up a great sign ...

"USA and Canada, brothers in arms ... but not on the ice." ;D

As a Canadian, I'm legally required to say "I'm Sorry." You know, about the butt-whoopin' ;D

Seriously, you guys put up a hell of a fight. Pulling the goalie in the last minute of play when you're down a goal was a ballsy move, but apparently it was the right choice. Thanks for the great game, and see you in four years!

I'm a little confused here - when you're down by one are you supposed to leave your goalie in and play it really safe ?
Adding a skater increases your odds of scoring - does not ensure a win but increases the odds. USA has gotten more competitive by leaps and bounds in recent years.

As an afterthought - some of the USA players are citizens because their dads were Canadians and played in the NHL and they were born here - but we'll take 'em any way we can get 'em. Parise's (he scored the tying goal) dad was J.P. Parise who played in the 60's and 70's and Stastny to name a couple.
