Update: Today I talked with the owner of the Futureliner and was up and looked in the cab, much work still remains and he thought they needed six years before it is finished.

I've always wondered how these things handled with the dual front tires. I hope power steering was standard.

That is exactly what the guy in the Ford T-shirt try to do, but it was almost completly dark inside the cab and very sunny outside so the picture was no good

I hope those things had things like rear facing cameras for backing up because they have blind spots that office buildings could hide in.

I am SO pleased that this is being saved. It looks like a HUGE project but it would be a shame to let it rot.

I had the same plan as you Jobergg ;D.You got me by just some minutes.To those that dont understand Swedish...a lot of the engine parts was difficult o get,but when they mentioned that the parts should be used to get a futureliner runnin...they turned up from a american military base.

I'm not familiar with that carb - Propane? Great project and I'm really pleased that someone is saving this old beast. I'm a little surprised that it doesn't have a 4-71 or some such.

This is a phot I took of one of the Futureliners that was on display at Carlisle. The date on the pic is Oct 2009. I thought I took a few shots from when I was in the cab, but I can't find them. It was pretty neat to sit in the middle of the truck and see clearly down both sides.

Futureliners are very cool to say the least.
