I'm a rally fan. it looks like a blast. imagine building a car for cheap then abusing it until you demolish it. my dad was a dirt track roundy-rounder, and i started taking my truck through my dirtbike trails shortly after I started driving, so i understand how it can be overlooked...not like it's as exciting as nascar...

Re: who likes going stupid fast on questionable terrain?
Right here. Been to Pikes Peak a couple of times, used to blast around Western Washington woods in "improvised rallys". Love it.Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!
"Remy-Z, you've outdone yourself again, I thought a Mirada was the icing on the cake of rodding, but this Imperial is the spread of little 99-cent candy letters spelling out "EAT ME" on top of that cake."

questionable terrain?
Started "temporarily-appropriating" our army surplus '55 M38-A1 Jeep
(age 12-16) when left "Home Alone", driving it straight up old logging roads
to the state gravel road that ran along the ridgeline, & eventually onto
the National Forest Parkway. Maybe the most "car" fun I'll ever have.
Learned the similarities of gravel & ball-bearings fast! :o
My Pop always thought there musta been a "leak" in the Jeep's gas-tank. -- ;)

Re: who likes going stupid fast on questionable terrain?
my buddy just finished 10th in the sand hills rally in SC. Hes driving a celica alltrac with .0000001% of the budget of most everyone there. Did I mention he started 27 out of a 34 car field. He would have done better if by the time he got to the wetter sections that 26 cars hadn't rutted it all up. Supposedly theres a big difference between a 3 inch and 5 inch rut. LOL

Re: who likes going stupid fast on questionable terrain?
For some reason I also suffer this affliction. Not so much off road racing, but going way too fast on dirt roads in vehicles that are not designed for it. Maybe it is the adrenaline. I have gone over 100 on a completely snow covered road as well. Very stupid. I blame it on the sickness.200 mph or bust.......

Re: who likes going stupid fast on questionable terrain?
Me and my buddies used to love driving our trucks/jeeps and even one guy's ford escort pony (it didn't last long) on bridle paths as fast as we could and I'd love to give rally or baja a try.
