    These guys were daring.

    schwinn bike tires...
    rear end an inch from your goods..
    welded it all with a coat hanger...
    engine filled with plaster, (to help fill the pin holes after boring cylinders to the max)


    150mph..9 secs... :o

    and I thought subaru imprezas with a flat six shoehorned was crazy. :

              Maybe the last win at an NHRA event, but they still hold flathead races every summer around the country.
              Flat Henrys (and other flatheads) have a unique sound and engine profile.
              If you're looking for a neat engineering challenge, try getting some more oomph out of one.
