I'm not a fan of long, drawn out articles that are mainly just "fluff". Hot Rod Deluxe has tons of great pictures with Xlnt, short captions that stick just to the facts. It's a great Potpouri(sp) of what I love about hot rodding. The latest issue, which I've only just thumbed through so far, is as good as it gets. Hell, it even seems like they hand pick advertisers that are appropriate to the theme. Great job guys

Re: Man, I love Hot Rod Deluxe
HRD is great. A little heavy on the girlie pix, but that's alright.
Just got the latest Rodder's Journal yesterday. There's something like 40 pages of very good pictures and a short desciption of the car pictured. They're calling it the RJ hall of fame; all the cars pictured are significant. Think the Hirohito Merc and one of Snake's early diggers. The official Bangshift garage door guru. Just about anything can be built using garage door parts, trust me.

I love the mag too. I'll flip through it rather quickly for an overview and then read it completely, cover to cover. My interests have always been postwar hot rodding and I love all the Hot Rod archives pics. The mag is truly one of a kind although I could also pass on the wannabe pin-up girls

Re: Man, I love Hot Rod Deluxe
I read it last night and was just thinking about what a great mag it is. I love that brutal red pickup on the cover. And the engine pics were fantastic. Oh for the days when folks dropped something beside the generic Chebby single carb motor on a rod. I also always enjoy the patina pics.
Its a great read every time.
