    Easter ROD RUN 2010 - Pictures & Video

    If you didn't read my posts about this the past two years, here's the background on this event: Every two years on Easter day, 200-400 people (and 200-300 cars) gather in a small city (population 300) to cruise from town to town, hanging out and BS'ing, in the last town there is a burnout contest, assuming the cops don't ruin our party ahead of time. There are also mini-burnout contests that break out along the way in the 4 previous cities we stop at.

    This year, in the 4th city, the 2nd person to do a burnout just happened to do it JUST as the local Sherrif was pulling into town, and he got pulled over (unsure what the ticket was). Meanwhile, during the 20-25 minutes he was writing the ticket (parked in the middle of mian street mind you) there were between 40-50 BIG ASS burnouts happening 3-4 blocks behind him. I feel sorry for the guy who was getting the ticket becuase that definitely didn't help his case!

    Anyway, here's the pictures, and a few teaser videos, as usual, I will cram all of the burnouts into a long video, but that could be several months from now!

    the jeep, too funny.

    There was guy local (disabled vet, not all that communicable- metal plate in his head)

    well, he claimed his jeep with 31 inch swampers could burn all four wheels, full posi through 3 gears. I said "yeah, right,whatever..."

    so what does he do? he shows up at the work place, drives around the building, with customers inside... goes out in the middle of the busy street... and proved it. It was simply a chevrolet engine welded in, all the old tough guts still in place. Top speed was like 100 mph..in "tall gear mode" granyy gear was breakin things my dad could in his rig overloaded.

    A character to remember...

        pro streeters are cooler than the clown in the nissan gtr who was freaking out , because he could not get around a hundred dollar cavalier on I80 tonight

          A street burnout comp - too cool!

          They confiscate your car for that out here, as F1 driver Lewis Hamilton recently found out.
