    Re: Legos...

My mother still tells tales about how I saw Moonraker and built a fully functioning space shuttle before bedtime. (It was only 30 inches long and had functioning caro doors.)

I don't do much with legos...my son built a working lego clock a few years ago.

My brother and I built a 6-ft tall CN Tower by combining our pieces when I was kid, seem impressive at the time. ;D

So does eBay. Seems to run around $1/lb for the misc stuff. Specialized and colour matched (especially "old grey") runs higher.

I've given serious thought to the Lego CAD system where you can build a model and send it in to Lego for a custom kit.

the very concept of Lego CAD blows my mind (yeah, I've known about it for years)

usually just walls that my hot wheels tried to jump over, some successful some not so much.

I still love legos. Both my son and my daughter enjoy playing with them. Heck I even made a life-size costume for halloween. I was amazed at the number of people who knew what I was. It still has some finish work, but the drunks at the bar didn't mind.

legos all have sharp corners, some of the hot wheels are not so bad. Unless they play roller skate
