  • One very quick Toyota! (Mazda powered)

Found this on another forum. This thing looks very scary.

" The car is driven by Jose "Siguel Racing" Torres he used to
run one of the first 3 rotor powered cars and was the 1st rotary
powered car in 6's. He rarely races in the USA NHRA or Nopi
because he doesn't like the rules limiting rotary powered cars.
The motor to that car was built in Australia. The chassis was
built in Puerto Rico, and tuned by Siguel. It is believed to make
950WHP and is a full metal car, no fiber glass or carbon fiber.
It is 3/4 chassis. He also own a 3 rotor 20b 3 turbo powered
RX-8 full chassis that runs 6.85 on low boost with an Australian
built crate motor. At the moment he is just about breaking world
records with a rotary powered cars."
And, a Google search for Siguel Racing" brought this:
Rotary Car Performance - Siguel New Record: Nayeli Racing 13B Starlet 7.09@192 - Nayeli Racing The World Fastest 3/4 Chassis Siguel Dyno Jet, Gaby GRS Chassis http://grs-motorsports.com/noticias/febrero/16/31.jpg http://grs-motorsports.com/noticias/febrero/16/32.jpg Timeslip: 1.12 en los 60' 3.00 330' 4.56 1/8 5.92...

I didn't think he ran a 20B, normally they don't hold together, I thought it was three 13B rotors with a custom eccentric shaft (which is why he had to import it from australia). It's been a while since I've followed Puerto Rican drag racing (fiebre) but man... I love rotaries and wicked 3tcs. Those guys are all drag racing all the time.

I gotta get down there some day! Cold beer, hot women, good weather and the tracks are all at sea level!
    Cheap, slow, half-assed: Pick three

There's a few guys that run rotarys locally and with a lot less success than that guy. Man... can he drive!!! Most of the time the one guy I see run locally comes out of the hole like a shot then when he misses a shift the car noses over and when he does finally catch a gear it ends up all over the track until he has to get out of it before he ends up in the wall!

I honestly had low expectations for this vid, but seeing that thing pull the LF wheel all the way down the track gave me goosebumps.
