Word to the wise, that car weights in at over 4000lbs. One with out the t-tops is around 3300lbs. I'd take an automatic over the six speed manual transmission. I hate when I miss 3rd gear and that is with a Hurst short throw shifter.Comment

Though he may be converting to a hot rodder, said he wants posi, and if he ever gets the time, money, and another car to drive while it is being done, he'd like to swap in an LT1 and 6 speed
He knows what Positraction is, I had to explain to him what an LT1 is

Pitch the Metric 60 V6 and go for a real Buick 3800 in there! He'll still have more power than pretty much any F-body from the 80's and get to keep the V6 insurance.Central TEXAS Sleeper

Why do people buy these things? If you want a sporty secretary car, then you got a great buy... If you wanted a pony car in the traditional sense then you are missing a few key ingredients...
Not trying to rain on your brother's parade, but a 3.4 V6 Camaro is not a good start to anything. Especially with an automatic.

Come on it's not that bad, just think STS Turbo and a 3800rpm stall and some 4.11 out back.
