  • 1989 Fox Body Cobra??

Is there such a thing? I've heard before there is a Canadian version, which is the same as a GT. Best way to identify its Canadian origins???

I've been around a few Fox bodies, but I had never heard of an '89 Cobra. I did a little snooping and found a reference to Canadian Mustang GT's being called Cobra's. No idea if this is fact or not, nor how to tell the difference between one of these mythical critters and a regular Fox. I would guess that the speedometer would be in KPH. Could be wrong, though...
    I'm probably wrong

Didn't bother to look at the link, but basically all of the GTs sold in Canada from around 1984ish - 1993 were decaled as a "Cobra" on the hatchback.

A metric speedo would be the tip-off obviously, other than the DSO (District Sales Office) code on the door label would identify what market the vehicle was intended to be sold in.
