Calculus
Calculus? :o
4 Words:
Hewlett-Packard Programmable Calculators!
Very user-friendly & formula-intuitive. --
-----------------------------------------
Free Tangential Sidenote:
The initial shuttle flights for several years relied on handheld HP calculators
(1980s vintage) for 90%+ of their required routine flight calculations. Each
crew member had their own. There are great photos in the www.NASA.org
archives of the "dashboard" of the early Shuttle flights, with several HP units
velcro'd within easy reach. NASA still uses the current HP handheld
(graphing) calculators as battery-powered back-ups, in case of an onboard
power or system malfunction.

Re: Anyone know calculus
Ok, I don't like admitting this, but I pulled a C- THREE times in Calc 1 (of 3) which wasn't considered passing enough to move to the next Calc class. Basically the minus was a way for the teachers to laugh they're asses off by saying "Oooh Sooo Cloooose this time" > Got that Calculus for Dummies book, and pulled an A in Calc 1, B in Calc 2 and a C+ in Calc 3. Thankfully there wasn't a Calc 4, because it didn't take a calculus course to see where that trend was going, but it was sufficient enough.Escaped on a technicality.

The unknown are so high that they would make most people really freak. When I tell people how much radiation they get from flying cross country they usually don't believe me. We had to make sure we didn't take our TLD's with us because it would exceed our allowed naval dosage for the year. Funny stuff. Thats without mentioning the alpha radiation from smoking.. It is a wonder I don't glow in the dark.200 mph or bust.......
