Closed on our house

Well, we did it. Closed on the house in PA on Friday afternoon. We're letting the sellers stay until June 30th. She teaches a GED class in the local jail and would like to stay until classes end. We could have waited until then for the closing but we believe they under priced the house a bit and we wanted to make sure we got it, so we accommodated them. Here's the post I made in January on the house. A BS Feast in the East could be a possibility :

For the time being, we'll be using this for week ends and vacations

LOL, Jim! You hit the nail on the head! Did you hear on the news that 30% of NJ residence would like to live some where else? I'm one of those 30%!

Seriously Jim, you should check this area out. Great little town, very good schools systems and a Chevy, Ford and Chrysler dealer in town! Also affordable homes and taxes.

Congrats! PA is among the best places to live, and that's not just my opinion. Certain areas rank very high in the income to cost-of-living ratios.

That is awesome.

We still rent the BS West headquarters, and don't see any way we'll be able to buy a house in the near future, but we dream. Daphne and I went looking at a couple of open houses this weekend that were right in our neighborhood. One house in particular was amazing. Pool, killer balconies, a million dollar view for 25 miles, and it's on a half acre with room for a shop and easy access to the back of the property. Also, bitchin kitchen, killer rooms, office space, and a 3 car garage. A dream house for sure.

And only $650k! That's only $649,995 over our budget. LOL
