the tach climbed quite a bit after the speedo hit 120, but i didnt want to say anything higher because thats as high as the speedo goes and i didnt want to seem like a ricer

I have had 3 f-bodies, one was an orignal monte carlo ss of the 1984 variety... I thought it was too slow. I then got a grnd prix le, shifter on floor, sporty...too slow. I finally lost my patience and built an engine in a day with a crazy one off cam, reseated heads and new rod bearings slapped in on # one.. I went for 1 ride... 6000 rpm somewhere on the 2.73 and 200r4 was 160s mph. I then drove home after shaking a trailer park, and never drove it again. maine highway does have some open places...the 305 dies around 120..

funny enough a 3 main subaru with thier rx gears can do the same... I know v8s, do not get me started. one has to go a looooong freeakin way to get big power.

here is my next venture, not a tractor trailer, I want a diesel v8.. The casual rpm of realpower pushing the same gears everything else has to scream over is a real frustration.. its called growing up gettingover it.

...and putting a turbo on a mostly stock 5.3 ls motor and making 900hp is considered a looooooong way to get big power???

Here's a friend of mine from the gym making a 6 sec pass in his Mustang. If you're local, you'll recognize it as the car that Roscoe ran for a while with a big block Chevy. He sold it to a friend of mine at a huge loss and my buddy dropped in a small block Ford.
