Watching it from the outside it looks smooth as glass, watching it from the inside it looks like he keeps pretty busy.
    Pretty cool.

Yeah what does it feel like to drive on salt? is it hard or kind of mushy?
And how long is the wind down to a stop for a run like that. At 300 mph a mile flies along right quick.

Yep, 300 mph is 1 mile in 12 seconds. It'll get your blood moving. 8)

As far as how it feels, listen to the engine speed & tire slip as Joe reaches to shift to 4th gear. After the 3 time he just went ahead and pulled the handle.

The salt was quite rough and damp that year, 1999.

Here's a picture of the car with all of us. From the left Jerry, Joe, & Jeff Kugel, & myself.

Joe & I after the record pass.

And I got to drive the car into the Bonneville 200 mph club in 2000.

The engine in the car, yes it's all steel with working doors & even power windows.

And a picture of the little engine that did. 368" on gasoline.

There are very few people in this world who's opinion I value, you are not one of them.

Yeah I loved how it took from 1:55 to 2:08 to go one mile. Flying!

                is it always that slick...
at take off he was pedel'n it.. and 4th gear came late...
I'd think with the high reargears 2.?? it not slip as much with all that weight over the rear..
