Definitely awesome. Sorry I missed the first half of it.

Saw a thing on some channel, a documentary about Junior going all the way back to to the moonshine days, and what have ya.
That's always good stuff.

I don't know if it's still there, but maybe 25 years ago I visited the Joe Weathery Stock Car Museum at the Darlington Speedway. They had all the cool old cars, but they also had a giant display case of illegal parts that had been confiscated by NASCAR during inspections. Almost every one of them were from Junior Johnson's cars. A loose quote is, "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'" He sure did "try."

That was not the same show I saw before. The old show didn't have Junior on camera, so old and dried up. Bless his heart. Reminds me of my mama - still breathing, but not all there. Well, kinda like me as well.

I think he's still all there. Hell, he has the same speech cadence he did in that interview from the early 1960's.

Either way, a great show about a man who has lived more than lots of us ever will!

I admire Junior ,went through a lot. He was married to a Flossie for a long time, and they had a adopted son. He was killed in a car accident in the late 80's or early 90's and soon after he was divorced from her, then started over with his current wife. But he did much with where he came from.
