  • UPDATE : ground pounding vette

    here are a few pics of a friends vette. It has been sitting for the past year due to a burned valve and damaged piston. the 5.7 was making 335 at the rear wheels. the new engine was professionally built to these specs. he started with a new 6.0 iron block with forged internals stroked to 402 cubic inches. a callies crank and rods. weisco pistons 9.0 comp, ATI super damper, ARP studs on heads and mains, a custom ground comp xes roller with .608 lift, stage 3 cnc ported heads with 2.02 intakes and 1.65 exhausts.aftermarket intake with 80# injectors and a 70mm throttle body. paxton novi 2000 supercharger set at 16# boost with intercooler.ceramic coated headers tied to a magnaflow exhaust, the trans is a cutom built 4 spd automatic with a converter built to spec (not sure of stall speed)the rear runs 3.73 gears.he hope to have it finished and to the tuner by the End of june.

      The vette finally made the dyno.748 HP at the tires, the tuner said they are running a little rich to keep the motor safe but said there were still about 30 HP left on a leaner setting. Will let you know how the road test goes

        Awesome car, but the next upgrade should be painting it one solid color.
