    Bob Muravez, aka " Floyd Lippencott Jr. " fixed my washing machine today, he's the dude who drove the freight train dragster. Legendary So Cal. drag racer. Pretty ####in cool.

          Interesting, in light of the mention in Hot Rod lately. I hadn't know what the deal was with the Floyd Lippencott name.

          One Monday a long time ago a guy I'd worked with for years mentioned he'd visited his old army buddy that weekend...perhaps I knew of the guy. Rich Guasco...

          Jeez! All that time I knew somebody who knew Rich Guasco?! :o

          I never did connect up but heard some good stories secondhand. 8)

            The fake name was so his father didn't know he drag raced. That only worked for so long. My father wrenched on his own brothers various cars, and when Bob Muravez came to the house they recognized each other right away. Mostly from being at San Fernando and Lions. I just listened for hours as they told war stories. It was great.
