  • Some old truck pics from the junkyard

Front end of a Goliath vintage frame. Sporting 292 power. The only thing left of the engine is the block and crank.

An old GMC. With the back end of the Goliath frame in the foreground.

    Ford truck #1

    Ford truck #2

Ford truck #3. There's a few of this vintage in the yard.

Brian should like this one. An old Chevy pumper truck.

And I think this big ol' bastard loks like an old Suburban. Everything is pretty solid, and the other exterior parts are in the cab. Notice the Dodge sweptside on the oter side.

Anyone needing any parts, give me ashout.

does the green suburban have any middle or rear seats? (that look like they match the front seat)

Don't know, but I can check next time I'm there. At first glance, all I saw was sheetmetal in the back.

Can the Suburban be bought? If so, do they have a title available?

I'll have to check on that. I have a business card with thier phone number. I give them a call at lunchtime.

I would so love to put something like that old chevy cab and fenders on to the ranger frame, but as it is, I can't even find the time to get the damned thing running....

thanks for sharing these pics - gives me hope that not all the old vehicles outside of the desert SW are rusted to oblivion.

if the dodge is a short bed stepside, ask about the whole truck, thank you

Called the yard. Their front desk people are about effing useless. Had to describe the Suburban to them. They said that the manager wasn't there and wouldn't be back until near closing. He's the only one with access to the titles. They also said that he would have to search their titles to see if the Burb had one. If so, they can sell it...otherwise, it's just parts. Maybe it's just me, but if I worked in a junklyard I'd make it a point to know everything about the cars in my vintage section.

As to the Dodge, it's a sweptside.

Thats not a Surburban, its a Dodge Town Wagon built from 57 -66, came in 2 and 4 wheel drive.
Maybe intersted in parts off the blue Dodge, check the window regulator on the driver side, see if its intact and good.
Just for you Booghar, its mine.

No, it's a Suburban. Look closer at the sides and the firewall, it's different than what it would be on a Town Wagon.

looks like the door hinge pillars were cut out of the suburban (probably used to fix a rusty pickup), that's where the VIN is probably located...hmmm....
