  • Bracing for Impact

Bigass storm headed this way. Dieselgeek, I hope you have your hatches battened down!

I am watching the Weather Channel right now, and there is a red stripe of severe thunderstorms flowing from the Texas panhandle, all the way through Oklahoma and clear up to southeastern Nebraska. They reported 80 mph straight winds in Goddard, KS (just west of Wichita) and that crap is headed towards us.

Springtime in Kansas = never a dull moment

Wife is getting ready to head to work right now and drive right into that crap. I'm going to batten down the hatches here in Odessa too. Heard there was already some quarter size hail on the Plaza.

dang - I am lucky I saw this thread

Today I spent the day with one of my dogs at the vet and totally did not pay attention to the weather. Usually I am better prepared...

I loaded up the radar and sure enough, big red blotches headed my way shortly... better go put the "nice" car inside the garage, and put the beaters outside!

                      wow that is nasty.

frost warning here.. that is unusual for this date.
I am a weather nut, gonna save this image.

I hope the warm/cold battle doesn't get too intense.
                      The tiny little usa...

I wonder if their is such thing as an f6 tornado. :

Tornado on the ground near Towanda, between Wichita and Emporia. Thankfully, that is not a heavily populated area.

My wife is going to be driving right into that later today - at least I just put a fresh coat of rain-x on her windshield.
