Re: Edelbrock sold?
venture capitalist really means bust it up and sell it off
or force the original owner out.
most times venture capitalists are taken on when an influx of capital is needed to bring new products to market. like increasing production with new facilities, more manufacturing machinery and more employees.
big v has never had a problem bringing new products to market before. and he has brought alot of them.
and a family run business that's already been passed down a generation, this is hard to believe.

Re: Edelbrock sold?
Sometimes you make enough money, where the headaches of running a business seem like the last thing on your plate. Vic's made his money 10 fold, now it's time to cash in and let someone else have the blame for the business going under.
Face it the engines of the past are becoming a thing of the past, with everyone and their grandma putting an LSx motor in their car those engines and the parts that are made for them are going to become less and less. And it's hard to compete in an economy like we have today when the other guy can sell their products for less than you can.
Honestly I think Vic sees this and realizes he better get out why the getting is good.
