    Re: Frustrating Lugnut Removal

I remember trying to get the lugnuts off of my fathers Army Jeep. Seems that the young guy that did his new tires did not realize that the lugs on the left side were oposite threads and put new Lugs on with an Impact wrench.

I remember watching a New Private spending 2.5 hours trying to remove a Lug on a Duece and a Half with reverse Threads and the Platoon Sgt letting him work his Butt off to do it. Man he was pissed when we sent the only Girl in the Shop out and in Two Minutes she had the Tire off the truck.

If it was a red Snap-on shotgun it would have worked.

    Those walmart shotguns are junk.

if i told you once i told you a hunnert times junior, ya gots ta use a rifle to remove dem nuts, the rifling loosens up threaded fasteners!

shotguns are for unclogging drains and digging holes in the garden!

Redneck logic is bred not taught! (ok, actually inbred!)
My bet is that car is still sitting there with a wheel on it as we talk about it,,,, and another $10 says when he heals, he goes back with some bigger amo!

I was wondering if you had to make adjustments for right or left hand threaded lugs. :-\

I'd love to hear the redneck logic behind that story.
