Dale Earnhardt to appear on Wheaties boxes: Wheaties unveiled a special-edition Dale Earnhardt commemorative box, honoring his legendary career and celebrating his induction into the Hall of Fame. Earnhardt's record-tying seven championships, along with 76 wins and incredible fan popularity helped propel him into this latest "Breakfast of Champions" honor. Earnhardt becomes the first stock car driver to be featured on the Wheaties box twice. He first appeared on a series of boxes in 1997 when he raced a Wheaties paint scheme in the All-Star event that same year. And, now Wheaties honors his competitive spirit and champion attitude in connection with his induction. Race fans can help celebrate Earnhardt's legacy next week at the Food Lion Speed Street 600 Race Festival in downtown Charlotte, N.C. Beginning Thursday, May 27, the original Wheaties car driven by Earnhardt in the 1997 race will be showcased at the Wheaties display. The new commemorative box hits store shelves this summer

I was a big fan. Also had a black monte SS..

3 has a place in many places...I wonder why the genius tesla was obsessed with it. Is three the root of something we cannot know about...it is always something smart, or something good...maybe it is because it can't be split in half to be whole.

We could argue this all night, to no avail. I'm sorry to stir a hornet's nest, when I probably don't know what I'm talking about, other than press reports available at the time. Who the heck KNOWS what happenened?

The odd thing to me was that the hood on the 3 car was flapping up and down as the car came to a stop. Almost like Dale was waving goodbye. Weird.

davey allison was a sad , really freaky accident
his dad was a big time pilot , thought he was too
and he was just a kid
rob moroso turned out to be a a drunk driver , the hottest thing in racing at that point , killed another human on bad old rt 21 , nobody talks about him
tim richmond died of aids , seems like "they" tried to erase him , but hendrick and the summer of 86 was too much to forget
