Is there a place that sells distressed vinyl lettering?
A friend of mine was able to repurchase his great uncles 72 C20 2d pick up.
Its medium olive green with 40,000 miles and has been used on an orchard/farm its whole life. (The paint is original but thrashed, minimal rust but somebody made a mess with fiberglass...)
It still has the original 16" split rims with 7.50-16 tires on it, tractions in the rear, steers in the front.
I has a 4sp with what he thinks it is a 307.
I was blown away at how cool and orignial it is! Always stored inside, never left the farm or local town.
It has no power steering and he would like his wife to be more comefortable driving it. They plan on driving it and using it as his uncle did when he owned the farm.
After some digging it looks like all 68-87 trucks will interchange for powersteering pieces.
SO....all that to say, while I have it here I thought it would be cool if I could find some reasonable priced vinyl letters with a vintage distressed look, I'll letter his farm name on the doors as a suprise. If he didn't like it, no harm no foul, I'd just peel them off.
Has anybody seen anything like that?
