That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. From now on, shall I only drink "Caffeine-free Diet Coca-Cola", type on an "Apple Macintosh computer" and skip past a "Mc Donald's" restaurant when looking for a dining establishment? Popular culture has given them a freebie - they need to be smart enough to take it.

I say they loose the name Chevrolet. I really don't know anyone that calls them that. Even Mcdonalds calls theirself Micky D's from time to time. I think White Castle even calls their burgers sliders . Give the people what they want. They are going to win anyway.

Probably because of the 10 million emails and phone calls they were drowning in from Chevy owners telling how stupid they are all.


Chevy came from Chevy owners, not Chevrolet Corp, or GM. Same as Mopar. Customer name that stuck shorter version of Motor Parts.

I wonder what brain dead "Image Consultant" thought they could boost the Chevrolet brand's image by no longer calling it a Chevy. What a freaking putz. I hope they don't pay this bozo.
