  • Opinions please...

I was thinking I'll leave the 81 caprice coupe stock looking and factory steel rims. What do you think? I think it would look cool. Although it will be either a 383 or a BBC and will have a choppy idle so it's not really going to sound like sleeper. I haven't really decided what combo I'll go with yet. Please don't say it's your ride, you decided. LOL. If I were to go with some rims I was thinking some NASCAR knock-offs.

I like both ideas. I am a big fan of steelies, but Nascar knock-offs are really cool. I don't think you can go wrong either way. As long as you like it, go for it.

I have also been a big fan of steelies, and put some police/taxi poverty caps from the 80s. It would have a Belair/ Biscayne vibe to it.

I'm also a big fan of steel wheels, I've always liked the NASCAR look but I like the older 5 slot instead of the 10 slot.

Just groovin' to my own tune.

I like the steelies too. Get the rear ones widened and stuff some big meats under there. Then put the poverty caps back on.

                    I like these.
The mid 70's to mid 80's Nascar look is cool as hell.

I've always liked the look of these wheels, especially when painted the same color as the car. The only problem is I think the only size they came in was 14 inch...

Here's a nice set of truck rims, size 15x8...

Full size truck rims are a 5 on 5" bolt pattern. Most of the Chevy cars are 5 on 4 3/4". I think the Caprice is the 4 3/4" bolt pattern.

He'll have to measure that, as some Caprices did come with the 5 on 5 bolt pattern...
