  • car out for paint - woodshop open

Well the car went to a friends house today for some paint work (more on that later in another thread), so I busted out the wood tools to make my youngest daughter a dollhouse bookcase like her sisters. Got a good start tonight in about 3 hours, including one wal-mart run for extra drill bits.

Complete with a door and window on each side

Time for bed now, more later

mdf is the shiznit for making speaker boxes, and anything you want to keep smooth, or paint, just don't get it wet.

I'm also amazed at how FINE the dust is when you cut that stuff - I hope you're wearing a mask, the bugers post cutting without one are craptastic.

Great that your daughters have a Dad talented enough and willing to spend time on such a project, great stuff.

                  Looks great! spray or brush?

when I refinished a dresser for Lee's nursery - I used good old duplicolor spray cans, primer and paint, and I was amazed at how well it came out - it almost looks like I knew what I was doing!

so far it's holding up really well - except where Rhonda has chipped it throwing drawers open into other furniture! >
