While this news totally blows, it is neat to see how many guys were on point with their recommendations of stuff to check.
That which you manifest is before you.

One more reason why BangShift kicks ass.
              I'm probably wrong

                i have owned 2 G-bodies one a '82 grand Prix LJ Diesel with a olds 350 swap :'( and a 1985 Monte Carlo with a 4.3L and THM200-C

both cars had solid rear frame rails. maybe i got lucky IDK the GP had no rust at all but the monte was missing floors and the gas tank was acting as the trunk floor. and no the rear frame did not look like it was fixed unless the whole frame was swapped out but then why keep the numbers matching 4.3 TBI????

                :D

but yess the rear frame is common i just think i got lucky the monte was raging POS the GP was a Mexico export that found it's way to michigan some how

Weakest link on them was the torque converter (aka junk) I had 3 in mine till I wised up and put a 400 in it,like the rest said doors, head liner and the upholstery where your thighs sit are a major weak spot, digital dash's were junk also.I'd still buy another one if it was in great shape though LOL
