What did you pay for your ride(s)? Just curious. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find GREAT deals.

    Re: Deals

In 1995 I paid $5k for my 85 Monte SS. It had 88k and was in good shape. That didn't last long ;D

In 2000 I paid $2k for my 67 Malibu. It had a '65 327 and the factory PG and 10-bolt, with 220k. The floors were gone and it needed a bunch of metal work. It ran and drove well but didn't pass state inspection because of the rust.

Use http://www.searchtempest.com/ to find good deals. You might have to drive far to get a good deal if you are in a hurry.

<------- $11,000 in 1997. Numbers matching, straight, no rust, etc. Have since pumped about $8,000 more into it... mostly on the mill and driveline.

Thanks for the tip about the website. That will make searching a LOT easier. Now I can spend far less time looking around. Just found an F1 pickup with a 4.6 mod motor for under $10k and it is near me too..............

I paid $1200 for the 65 Impala SS in November 96. It had it's paint sanded off and was covered in surface rust and primer. Junkyard 350/th350 that ran, barely.

The Caprice I paid $2000 and I drove it home from the junkyard.
