      Congrats on the job!

But here is something I have never understood..
You say it is mostly fleet work, but hours are m-f, 8-5..
Are the fleet operators just not willing to pay a premium to have their vehicles maintained overnight or on weekends?
It would seem to me that they could easily justify a 20% premium to keep their vehicles on the road between 8 and 5.

The way it was at the places I worked was the place was open from 7:30 to 5:30 M-F, which meant that I had to be there from 7:30 to 5:30 on those days. We had lots of fleet accounts including one with the FBI(ya I used to work on their cars ;D), but they just knew the place was open from 7:30 to 5:30 and that is when they needed to bring their cars in.

If you think about it most companies with fleet vehicles don't work weekends and most have multiple cars in their fleet, so if one breaks down they usually have a back up until the one can get fixed.

Not saying that your idea is a bad idea, as there are a few 24 hour/7 day a week places here in town, but I'm not sure if they charge extra for after hours or on the weekends.

HEY DAMN IT MAN.....I forgot to give you my "First day on the Job advice"....

I used this advice in the Army and it NEVER failed me....

" The first person you meet at a new Job, Is the LAST person you want to know".....

I'm talking about the little Moron that everyone has shunned and is looking for a new Friend.... he always begs to show the New Guy around... so on and so forth..... The guy that sits back when your introduced... is most likely the guy who has Value.... Just becareful of that First guy....

            Trust me on this...

These companies have multiple backups(as in fleets of 100+ vehicles
with AT&T, 30+with Comcast, etc.), so the hours are no issue.
