  • Road America vintage cars, amazing

    Another amazing event!
This year as mentioned was a Mark Donohue car reunion.
Here are a few pictures :D
First of all, the best car at the place

This Penske guy sure built a bunch of these here Camaros.

I signed up for the lunch time track touring, I threw the family in the car and had a total BLAST!
They let you haul ass out there, way more than I'd expected. I'd only ever been on the track on two wheels in anger, a spirited drive with the family was very, very cool.

Cool vette with some neat history!

    What a nice package!

This is just a very small preview, If you ever want to take a vacation over here you may want to consider Wisconsin in mid-July ;D

This car is there every year, and every year I stop and stare at it.
The "Meister Brauser I" Scarab Mk2 driven by Augie Pabst. Augie lives in Wisconsin so it's no suprise I get to see the car so often.
Augie Pabst first drove this car in 1959 and still owns the car. Augie Pabst is an amazing racer and won races from the 1950's to the late 1960's.
This car is perfect. I love the painting on the side.

Wicked, and very trick small block chevy, note that the distributor is not in it's usual location.

This car's shape is drop-dead gorgeous. Arguably the best looking sports car of all time.

I was watching something about a Goodwood vintage race and they were creaming over these as the prettiest of all time. All a matter of opinion - they're all cool.

And now for something completely different.
Took these at the Friday night show/party in downtown Elkhart lake.

And as long as we are on the subject of big Mopars, they are much bigger than little Ferrari's :D

Mike - Did the #2 CRAGAR camaro (yellow) make it? They were thrashin' on Wednesday here in NC trying to get finished. I wired that sucker the week before. vic
