Women Remember Stuff

This evening I put a put a big salmon steak on the charcoal smoker after soaking it in Bird Sauce for 24 hours, and busted open a can of asparagus to go with it. Nothing complicated. We ate and got fat and happy.

Sue Unit got dreamy eyes and said, "This is the meal we had on the night that you proposed to me."

What was I to say? I guess she's right. I'm sure she's right if she says so. But....that was ten years ago. How do you remember a meal 10 years ago?

My mama used to tell me what the weather was like on the day I was born, and ... that all must be a woman thing. It has to be. All of that stuff.

Yeah, you've got that, and that explains a lot, but how do they REMEMBER so much shit? Elephants have got nothing on women as far as remembering shit. I mean tiny details. Tiny little details from decades ago. Details that us guys just blow past. Didn't recognize it then, and sure won't remember it in ten years. Let alone ten hours.

If the woman's control panel is so complicated, and it is, ......they must be way smarter than us guys to remember what they do, years later. MANY years later.

I dont think its a woman thing, I think she had an emotional marker on that day. You know when something big happens in your life and you remember it vividly, right down to the smallest detail. Some people remember bad things as well as good things like that. I remember my first day of Basic Training, the first day I got to Germany, both of my daughters being born, and other events of my life.

That was one of the most important days of her life, so she remembers it and everything that happened that day. Peewee you are lucky to have a woman that cares that much for this long. I have yet to have a woman stay longer than 6 years, and actually only one stayed that long. The rest left or started cheating within two years. You are fortunate, I am not so fortunate, I have given up entirely on women because I cant find a good one like you have.

Thump, after two disasterous mariages, I found Sue Unit when I wasn't looking. Like you, I absolutely gave up. I quit. No chance. No more for me, thank you. I was so mad at women, no, I'm through. Finished. Financially and emtiotionally destroyed. And real sure nuff pissed off about the whole danged program.

Enter Sue Unit. I never in my life expected it, and at the start I didn't even want it. I was afraid it would all go south again, yet another time. No, it didn't. Yes, I am lucky. The luckiest person on earth. Winning the lottery is a while lot more likely. But keep your head up Brother, anything good can happen. Don't give up, because it sure did happen to me. It sure did.
