Re: Roush crashes plane -- serious but stable condition
Oshkosh is a bitch to get in and out of - especially in a light jet! Go-arounds are bad news there. What the observers describe sounds like he stalled the wing on the go around.
Those jets are fast - and oshkosh, this time of year, requires that you stick to a pretty low pattern speed. They have two approach speeds, one for slow planes and one for faster planes - but that jet will be on the ragged edge of stall speed even at the higher speed approach.

Re: Roush crashes plane -- serious but stable condition
post from one of the aircraft forums I'm on:
Jack Roush's Premier one just crashed at Osh about 10 minutes ago. It is unknown if Jack was on board. A friend of mine saw the approach and crash. He said that the plane over shot the runway on base and had a hard bank followed by a stall. The aircraft hit flat and hard. Two people got out of the aircraft, their condition is unknown.
Others say that Roush and companion got out of the plane on their own - that's good news!www.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed!
