  • Ever Driven a VINTAGE Performance Car

No, I'm not talking about muscle cars, or even cars from the 50s, I mean something like a Stutz Bearcat or a Locomobile
I mean when high end companies started thinking about, Let's see how fast we can go, rather than wow, we have people moving without horses

After seeing that Locomobile the other day, I've been really wondering what it would be like to drive something like that
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

it's really a job to drive them.. at speed, not a fun as one would think..

I wondered about the old stuff more than once.

the first benz crank boxer was 5.9 liters..1902.... and four cylinders. LOL.

concept of foot pounds must have been 200 to our quibbly 100 whatever.
Of course that same country makes the tatra 8x8 today.

The wonders of getting any gas that can burn, must have been more like diesel.. low octane, probably a rating we don't use.
The closest modern marvel of little giant was a suzue tractor AWD, 2cyl... it did all work thrown at it.
even makes small blocks... well.. small... :
      Previously boxer3main
the death rate and fairy tales cannot kill the nature left behind.

I want to at least meet Hemi Joel's Deusenberg. It's just absolutely beautiful. While it would be a blast to drive it I'd be happy with a ride in the right seat. Maybe some day.

Yes, it's real - and amazing. He posted pics a while back.
