  • Good Buy or Good Bye? Part Deux



    so i got this from autoweek but autoweek isnt published weekly anymore but the on line is updated everyday so why put weekly in the title nobody is holding a gun to my head and making me write this and nobody put pioson in the sandwichs i just ate cuz i made them myself and made sure that i didnt put poison in them this time but did put the wrong mustard on the and had to scrape it off and put on grey poupon so this car saves exactly what i dont know cuz how would you save gasoline or electricity maybe put it under your mattress with all those 1000 dollar bills you have there i mean its not like toenail clippings where you can putem in an envelope and there they are 8 months later still in good shape trimming toenails is like paying the water bill you just have to do it too often and for 41000 dollars i could prepay my water bill wich reminds me my neighborhood lost power in a big storm about 6 years ago and was without electricity for 6 days dont know why it took so long to get power back but my gasoline powered vehicles worked perfectly but i had too cook using the fireplace insert a keep a fire going 24 hours a day and slept in front of the fireplace in a sleeping bag and used a propane lamp at night i got the lamp fuel from the local market wich is one block away and they never lost power so who knowsbut for 41 large what will this thing be worth 3 years from now when the paints faded and the body looks like a sack of potatos is anybodys guess i had an old toyota that looked its age but was unkillable drove it to bonneville from california twice 70 mph and 34 mpg in 5th gear drove straite thru one year 18 hours and 3 stops for gasoline no electricity needed i took care of that car changed oil every 3 months had 80000 miles on it when i buoght it put 70000 on it was a nice looking car till a tractor trailer rig ran a stoplight and smashed the right rear quarter panel and spun me around on the way to work 1 day the paint went bad before it got hit so i painted it with a paint roller it was a 1989 fast bach carolla and just boxy enough to not look like a jelly bean the only jelly beans i lke are the same ones that president reagen liked and thats all im going to say about politics here ive had lots of shivolays and they all seem to have junk starters so i expect this volt to have junk on off switches those new camaros look like the designers guide dog did the majority of the work or maybe someone put poison in their sandwiches and told them if the car was designed 30 minutes they could the antidote for the poison im watching the entertainment channel right now and am not sure what it is since im not paying attention but cameron diaz is supposed to be on and its not even about her so i guess i should walk to the post office a get my mail but now i dont feel so good to be continued later

    c'mon..chevy wants to seem like they give a shit about the environment but in reality they want to gouge the consumers theya re catering to with this car...its about max profit...

        LOL, I need your gig...being a jagoff in my world requires tons of heavy lifting and my hours SUCK!

        I'll be honest.... I did not read your whole post..just the link...after 14 hours on the flight line fixing a POS airplane that has thoroughly kicked my ass.... I am a little wore out and onery...I suppose I could have argued my opinion a little nicer...lol...

                    The Volt is going to cost $41K. We get $7.5K in tax credit for buying one (which will probably be made up by increasing your taxes in other ways). You still pay $33.5K for a small car that has extremely limited range (40 miles). And according to the guy in the link, we should suck it up and buy one??? He is definitely on drugs.

                    Electric cars are not new- the rest of the world has a few already in use- so what earth shattering new technology is in this thing? I mean, if it time travelled or had a Mr. Fusion powering it, I would be all in!

                      It does have a gas engine too.
