Did you notice how much less frequently he needed to change gears because of the torque band on the 427 compared to your average motor in a roadracing car? That right there is more encouragement for "lazy litres" in my book.

I noticed that,and i also noticed around 175mph on the long straight in the beginning of the vid..yupp,thats coolness.. ;)

The display is indeed in KM/H but if you look carefully the car exceeds 265 km/h.

I calculated 160-165 mph

Wouldn't abiding by the true significant figure rule mean that the speed is 165mph? Since there are no decimals in the 265kph measurement?

I just use 5/8 * kph
or
0.625 * 265 = 165.6

it's just rough but something that you can file away in your mind for when you're away from a pc and can easily do on paper (or in your head) if need be
