  • The next ridiculous trend?

Well, spinners, that didn't last too long, but now we got these lifted cars with 40+ inch wheels

I predict the next trend will be:
    slammed, with 40+ inch wheels
each trend gets more and more unsafe, you;ll see cars with the tops of the fenders cut off or caps put on them everywhere
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

          still no trends here.

I thought welding necessity into mainely useful would catch on, but hardly see it.

I am personally looking forward to dumping mig #12 into an old ten geared subaru.. the big wheel thing is gonna have to be 27 inch tires (205/75) on 15 inch rims. that is as big wheeled ghetto as I get. :
the day america makes a 3 main boxer.. I could stop playing these j-tin games.

I did spot a a newer v8 diesel, monster strong tires and wheels, with gray primer already splashed down the sides (it was quite new) surprised me. crap happening already.

I could guess those hang on for some trendy things while new... maybe see in some years like a 76 chevy with a steel framed bed on the back holding it together.
          ;D

It seems there will always be more copiers than innovators.

I'm sure the first guy to paint some WW2 like graphics on his car was pissed when everybody else started doing it.

I'm sure the same goes for the first guy to start every automotive trend since the 30's.

Unfortunately most people with enough money to put huge wheels on thier ride don't have the good sense to also put larger brakes and upgraded suspension both of which are required to make those big wheels safe. :

                      Re: The next ridiculous trend?

One thing I've heard of being the ridiculous thing to do with some of the imports is to strip all the paint off the hood and let it rust. I think it may have been inspired when somebody saw a car where the owner had bought a replacement hood in primer and didn't realize it had to be painted.

I just recently went to 15" wheels on the hot rods and I'm not selling my 14" slots. Save 'em like Confederate money, ;D

If the next trend is 70's and 80's styled hot rods and muscle cars I am on that bandwagon....
