This is another one of those staged crank call gags like they play on the radio. Roy Mercer was great at it years ago, and his calls were by request. People would contact him and ask that he play the prank on a friend of theirs who worked, let's say at the Ford dealership. That was one of my favorite Mercer ones. He called the dealership and asked to speak with a particular salesman (the appointed target) and Roy then went on a rant pretending that his wife had come to the dealership to look at a Taurus, and the dude wanted to show her his Probe instead.
This is along the same lines. I want to post this on my site this weekend because it's so funny. But I can't remember this guy's name. I've heard him before. Can any of y'all ID this guy? I don't think I'll post it on the site if I can't name him. Gosh, I can't remember his name....
