Q for IndyShiftman....2000 silverado 4x4 tranny 5.3L

...getting ready to do a re and re for a customer..he dropped off his truck this morning ..he bought the used replacement tranny and threw it in the back of his truck..customer supplied part..

one of my mechanics noticed that the input shafts are not the same...looks like tranny is out of a 4.3l pickup..we can swap out belhousings and t shafts..but what do we do for a converter????i called the local chevy dealer..and i ordered a new neutral safety switch,thinking that was only part needed to do swap...


looks like he will need another tranny?? or i am wrong???just a converter for the smaller shaft witha LS bolt pattern?do they make this style of converter>>i have to call him tuesday..

I am not aware of a converter with small shaft and LS pattern. Really need the right converter and trans.
