  • Gasfot and Jobergg's saturday road trip 4 sep

On my way to Gasfot early in the morning.

2 hours later Gasfot finds a Chevy pickup without engine...

    Checking the frame.

No engine but here is the tranny.

    Sweet, Gasfot buy this pickup

We took the tranny and lot of stuff with us today, must get back with a trailer later..

Then we visit Ronnie Peterson grave. (Swedish F1 driver)

After that we drove to a kart event where one of Gasfots friend competed today.

    Driving through forest.

Then i suggested that we should stop at a place with lot of Mopar stuff ;)

    Driving home..

So he bought a cool pick up then..guess it will be used as a tow rig with a trailer behind :D.It looks great btw...shouldnt be too difficult to get together..those transaxles are quite heavy...you two didnt break your back trying to stuff it inside the car??.

And another van collector...they are common in the northern part of sweden too..

You guys rule. Seriously rule. I tell you that every time you put something else up about running the camaro on ice, but it's true.

I will make it there someday to hang out. So you guys have a beautiful country, clean air, and you still have no emissions regulations on cars. Right? So it is legal to put a Big Block Chevy in a 2010 Volvo if you wanted?

        I am moving.

Oh,we have our laws about emissions here in scandinavia...and a BBC in new Volvo can be difficult to get registered with plates...but it can be done.. ;D

I think it was real heavy, Gasfot and the seller was carry the transmission ;) The Volvo V40 should need HiJackers on the way home...

Thanks for the photos, Jobergg. Those vans sure brought back memories. My uncle had one for years. They finally sold it when he was no longer able to drive, but they kept the old radar detector Ron had on the dash. He always kept a ball cap on it just in case the state he was in had laws about such things.
